Wednesday Product Feature: DXV 3D Printed Faucet

American Standard has always been an industry innovator, and it continues this tradition with the 3D printed faucet. The DVX faucets are the first to be printed in metal. The model shown here, has no piping, instead water travels through the 3D printed latticework. Beauty and innovation comes at a price though. When these faucets hit showroom floors expect the faucets to be listed between $12,000 - $20,000.

How its made:

  • Lasers are used to fuse powdered metal to shape
  • It takes about 24 hours to 3D print each faucet
  • The printed faucet requires hand finishing, and is put through a butlers finishing process
